Hello Conservatives,
Last Tuesday as I reported on these pages I received a phone call from Vaughn Ward. We discussed his campaign and some of the criticism he and his campaign had been taking, (noted that some of it was coming from those not even in the 1st congressional district or as some have said not worth dignifying a response) but, some of it in my humble opinion was worth a response. Ward indicated to me that he would like to respond to some of the criticism and I offered to e mail him some specific examples of what I thought the voters would like cleared up or addressed. He agreed and I sent it off early last week.
In an apparent change of heart I received this as the official response on Friday from his camp.
"we are gaining a great deal of momentum. We are traveling the district discussing how Vaughn is going to put Idahoans back to work. Our campaign is focused on the issues that are important to Idaho and America and how we can fix these problems.
We are humbled by the overwhelming support we have received over the last 10 months and we look forward to continuing to talk and visit with all Idahoans across the district."
Okay. That should clear everything up. I followed up with another email to the Ward camp to make sure this is all Ward wanted to say after I sent a great deal of information to consider, none of which was addressed. I was told yes.
This is not necessarily a criticism, it just came back to ICB as strange that Ward would call ICB directly and agree to address specifics then only send a generic, everything we’ve already heard before statement.
I guess it will be more of a reason to try to catch Ward on tour next week. Because I got nothing new from this most recent statement.
